Is it only when you let off the gas? DFCO (decll fuel cut off) is a function that cuts fuel on decell. Usually only active at higher speeds. Some chips you can turn this feature on or off. Is it possible this it what your experiencing?

What chip are you running?

Remove the chip. The number is on the bottom side. Don't forget to disconnect the orange wire by the battery before removing.

I doubt it's DFCO, no matter what chip is in there, DFCO usually always has a small delay of at least of second and a half to engage.
