2 questions actually

Does anyone know if some brands or models or front tires are actually lighter than others. Im talking the factory size 215 in a brand name, not those mt bicycle skinny drag tire things. Just wondering if some may weight 30 some 25 lbs etc. Ive searched and found nothing.

Also, I cant seem to find drilled rotors for the GN. I checked jegs & (shhh) jc whitney.

Thanks.

Yes, there are some tires that are lighter than others. When you're looking at the specs, note how many belts are in the tire, and what they're made of (steel, nylon, polyester, etc).

The ones with the least amount of steel will generally weigh the least.

As for drilled rotors, why? They just crack.
However, if you HAVE to have them, most auto parts stores can get them and so can the Tire Rack.

Checked tire rack.com

They do carry the rotors & have a selection of tires with the weights listed.

In 215/65 there is a General for $53 that weighs 21 lbs.
In 205/65 (25.7") there is a Continental that weighs 19 lbs.

If the normal tire weighs 25 lbs, that could be 12 lbs of rotating weight removed.

That's also 20mm of contact patch width gone.

Are you drag racing? Get some skinnies.
