I did some alot of maintenance and some upgrades during this winter. I had been looking for pictures for ideas that show the installation of a line loc system after the proportioning valve, but never found any after searching and searching, so hopefully this post helps out a few people that may need some pictures for ideas for their line-loc system install in the future.

Parts/Tools:

Hurst Line Kit - P/N: HUU-1745000
Line Loc Installation Kit - P/N: HUU-5671510
Electrical Wiring
Double Flare Tool Kit
Tube Cutter & Bender
Switches, connectors, etc,
Mounting Panel

First, I made a bracket to mount the line-loc to that would mount under the car using a piece of stainless steel plate and painted it. Next, installed the fittings into the solenoid per the directions and how I needed the brake lines to be ran. The solenoid was then mounted to the bracket.

I then mounted the solenoid and bracket in place and bent clothes hangers to mock up the tubing. Using the pre-bent hangers, the tubing from the line-loc install kit was cut, bent, assembled, then re-flared.

From there, installed the solenoid and tubing permanently. Wiring was then ran to the inside of the car.

I contacted Mark H. from TR Customs/Buickgn and sent him a mechanical layout drawing for a custom ashtray panel . He did a wonderful job on it!

I used a 12 pin wiring connector to do a clean install that put my exhaust cutout, line-loc on & off switch, and line loc activation button all in one location. This would also allow for easy removal of the panel when if problems or work needs to be done behind panel.

The switches were spec'ed out and selected.

Then attached the wiring from the pin out connector harness to the solenoid. Finished! Turn the

Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

No problem at all. Just was trying to help out.

Depending on how complex one's install will be, a sketch of a wiring schematic may be needed. I couldn't have got finished with this install without one. It will help , if u need to retrace your steps. Here is the one I did by hand. Nothing fancy, just gives helps to make hookup and troubleshooting a bit easier.

I don't have a completed schematic picture on me, but this a reference to give you an idea.

And once you finish....time to leave some rubber on the highway!

Note: when engaging the lock line system, you need to depress the brake petal as hard as possible. The solenoid holds the "only" the amount of pressure you "load" the system with. So, if you only press the brake pedal a little, the solenoid will only hold that small amount of pressure and your front brakes won't hold the car still. It will roll forward......don't ask me how I know ;-) I thought the system wasn't strong enough :)
