Those of you with Line-Lock on your cars, Does anyone even use the lights that come with the kits anymore?

On my last car I never used it and my thinking was, If My finger is holding the button down during my burnout why do I need a light telling me "It's On"...

So I was just wondering if people out there even use that light anymore..

Please post your thoughts on this....

Nope, I am with you. My switch I use is a momentary that I hold. It is in a plate I made in the ash tray, so I know when it is on or not since, like you, I am holding it. I have enough crap to watch in this car, no need for another pretty light. ;)

My brake light comes on when I set it. The previous owner had an old school ken belle switch board in the ashtray.

I use a switch instead of a momentary. My brake light comes on also and stays on till i press the brake pedal again.

The stock brake light coming on until the next brake apply is normal. The system imbalance is what's causing it. I've seen no ill effects in over 10 years though.

On mine I had it set to come on. Never really paid attention to it though.

I used the momentary switch that came with the kit. Skipped the light. I know when it's on since I'm pushing the button...

This seemed like the easiest thing to do when you buy the kit.

We are making a complete Line-Lock kit right now that also has a powder coated bracket to mount the solenoid to instead of screwing it to the inner fender well. Plus a few other cool features..

Which line lock are you going to use or is the bracket universal? Any prelim pics?

Let's just say Don Cruz pointed me in the direction for this Line-Lock solenoid, It's re-buildable and comes with a 1 year manufacture warranty. Yes the bracket will be universal....

Yup, stock brake warning light on the dash comes on when you use the line lock, no need to put a light in the kit.

Nope, no light or LED use here. I had the momentary button that came with the kit slid down over the stock shifter for a while, and didn't like the look. So, I drilled a hole in the Ashtray switch plate from Mark ^ and put in a momentary switch from radioshack in it, works great, it's right next to my TCC switch and it's hidden!

Thanks for all the good feedback guy's! Judging by the response here I will be leaving the light out of our line-lock kits when they come out.

Scot, why is it I am all of a sudden hoping my current line lock goes bad in the near future? I blame you for this! Sounds like another great product. Thanks brother!
