Can someone explain exactly where to hook up the electrical oil pressure guage to the block? All I know is I should install a brass tee somewhere near the oil filter on the front of the engine. I looked (from the top of the engine) and couldn't see the factory sending unit. What color wire should I be looking for? Should I remove the turbo shield, or is there something else blocking it? Also, should I drain the oil first before installing the tee? Thanks guys!

follow the stock oil feed line from the top of the turbo to the block there you will see the place where you need to put your t

Oil sender install

It's a bit of a PITA to do - plan to do it during an oil change and you have to remove the lower rad hose to get in there, so it's a good time for the RMI-25 treatment!

I did my 160' thermo, water temp sender, lower rad hose, oil change, oil pressure sender and RMI in one shot - worked out really well.

I've got something that may help, a page from the 1987 Buick service manual with the drawing of the oil pressure sending unit. It took me as long to look it up in my service manual as it did to actually do the gauge install! Geeez! Shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you a scan of the page. Spectre5050@yahoo.com - BB:p

(P.S. The 1987 Buick Service Manual is 10 to 11 times thicker than a Chilton Manual, it takes 4 - three inch binders to hold it all!)
