I am buying a rebuilt tranny and it comes with a 3300 stall PMAC non LU conv. My question is should i stay with a LU because i drive my car alot and am planning some long trips with it. I want a 32-3300 stall but i would rather trade it for a LU conv. So what are the pros and cons of the the 2?

Thanks, Scott

If your car's a driver like you said, there's no way you'll like the non lu converter. Those long trips 'll kill the gas mileage, etc.

OD trannys that don't run a lockup run warmer then the same tranny with the same stall lockup convertor. Your tranny will run warm on those long trips. IMHO, I would run a lockup and have a cooler running tranny on the highway, which should translate into longer life of the tranny.
