lock-up toggle switch

I just have a qwik question. i am wanting to put a switch in my harness so i can manually un-lock my converter. can anyone tell me which wire to put it in? also by locking and unlocking the converter on the fly does this harm it or the solenoid at all? thanks

Most connect the toggle switch inline after the 12V exits the brake switch. I think it's the purple wire. Here's a few diagrams.>>
