hey guys, looking for a bit of help with installing torque converter. What’s the difference between lock up and non lock up.

This Indian guy would love to explain that to you lol

Lol a lock up converter has a clutch in it that when the clutch is applied the converter becomes locked to the engine so there is no slippage . A converter is a fluid coupling device meaning there is no shaft or anything that connects the engine to the transmission fluid drives the transmission . With a lock up that goes out the window and the clutch mechanically connects the engine to the transmission

Lock ups are great if you drive it all the time but for all out performance a non lock up are the way to go imo .

It’s not a daily driver, but I do take it on long distance trips. Not looking to race it, but like to have the power when I want it. I’m sold on the lock up style converter:) thanks for your input

Either style I'd go Dusty,Bison,Dave,etc...

These guys have the experience with our small or narrow (whatever you want call it) stock RPM range...say 2200-5200 rpm...or any range.

We are helping our small community and giving back for their love for the game. Unexplainable
