I have some bad gas mileage threads roaming around here. I have no means of getting ahold of the original owner of the car, so im left to guess with everything.
I have no lockup. I am getting 12v to the purple wire at the connector on the tranny. Brake switch is good. When I got under there to check, I noticed that the purple wire had been pulled out of the connector, and was zip tied up and out of the way. What does this mean?
I reinstalled the wire, and I still had no lockup.
I dont know what convertor I have. I can bring the rpms up to 3k before I even start building boost. I have no idea if its a lockup or non lockup convertor.
When going to a non lockup convertor, are there certain things you have to do to the tranny at the same time?
Does it sound like my tranny is set up for a non lockup convertor, or would they just pull this wire out if the lockup solenoid was bad?
Im absolutely lost and cant afford more gas.
If this tranny was set up for a non lockup convertor, what parts would I need to get it back to normal, not including the convertor of course.
