I was thinking about moving to a SLIC from my CAS V2 FMIC. I dont think its much loss if any with SLIC and alky or SLIC and E85

First, go with E85 like i've been hounding you for years. it will love the 200' temp, the elec pump is not street and not needed.
Have Tony make you a duel fan shroud with the spal or your fans. Didn't i show you the one he made me?
I also have my new duel intreped fan you can have

Ha ha. Nope BLDC fans, they move a shit ton more air cuz of the load curves with little RPM drop. Maybe 1.5x more flow.

I think there's a link on the boards by Chuck or Grumpy to the old intercooler pressure drop tests and temp data. A great modern SLIC with Alky or E85 helps with spool up keeping MAT in line along with cooling the radiator better with more direct air flow. The FMICs are great but car context matters too.

But I bet twin fans might be all that's needed if THensley is at your ideal temp in AZ too on stock fan but set to high.
Look what I found. :p

E85 can lower the water temps dramatically.
In hot air an air to air intercooler will struggle with controlling iats period.
Using alky or liquid intercoolers will allow for consistency and cooler iats.

A slic intercooler will allow for faster spool over a front mount only due to the length of the piping and proximity of the intercooler.
A front mount will benefit a car from a cooling perspective as the distance of the piping and direct air path on the intercooler allows time to cool the air down.
Horizontal and vertical fins also play a role in spoolup and cooling.
