I looked at an 87 GN for sale with low miles the paint was pretty nice except for the passenger 1/4 it was almost like it was primer
the guy swears the car was never hit but a magnet wouldnt stick to the 1/4 . Also all the molding in the car was ripped. Best part is the car is in a lot unlocked ????? in a car dealership and also the gauge panel was loose??. My friend was interested in trading his stang and cash for the car but the guy offered him $3000 for his 2000 mustang so he didnt go for it . Kind of wierd ??

Obivously the car was hit.. If it WAS primerd.. and a body shop got ahold of it and used the sticky bondo stuff then the magnet would NOT stick.. thus telling you it WAS repaired. Tell the guy you want to test drive it. Take it to an alignment rack and see if the guy can look it over for you. If the frame isnt bent then the car can be fixed. then take it to a Body shop and see what they think. Then come back and be AGRESSIVE with the salesmen... Personaly a GN in the condition you spoke of should only be worth 3.5k at max... And the 2000 Mustang? Was this a GT? or v6? Cause even a v6 should bring 7k... That guy was a rip off. Tell him that you took the car to a body shop and they told you it was hit. and if you can get the VIN and run a car fax. That way you have proof to back up your claim. if you can find it.

The stang was a v6 in mint condition, the rear quarter on the GN was wierd it looked like almost like someone had taken the clear coat off but it was (from what I saw) bondo that was painted over. I'll try to get the vin and some pictures I know it was 1176hp.....as part of the vin # my GN is 1172hp but I forget what that digit is off the top of my head (the 2 compared to the 6)

the guy was nuts $3k for a 2000 mustang, i would'nt do buss with a car salesman like that

was the car T-tops or not? Depending on weather could have caused Frame Damage upon the Hit depending were and how hard.

If your confused this way look at it like this. take a peice of car board and lay it flat and try to bend it like it was a car and it was hit in the back. It shouldnt bend very easy. Now, take the SAME peice of card board and cut out a t-tops design and try to bend it the same way. It SHOULD bend with ease.. Thus meaning possable frame damage. Hard top cars ARE stronger than T-top cars. Thus why the GnX's are Hard top only, The ladder bar makes the car twist a lil more comming off the line. I garantee you if you put the GnX Suspention kit on a T-top car and come off the line with any 60' time under 1.70 and you WILL shatter a t-top or two.

Thats just the truth. So be careful how you buy. If its a t-top car and it was hit, then most likely it could have frame damage.

Good luck!
