I was trying to tune my father's car today for 0 knock. Here's what I got so far via Scanmaster 2:
KR:1.5
02's:789
INT:128
BLM:105
TPS:3.89(but when I checked it w/ car off it was 4.60... )
A/F:238........These #'s are@wot.I figured it'll go 17lbs.ish due to the power plate but @ 15lbs. the 1.5KR is more than I expected wanted.Anyways,I was wondering what I can do to get rid of the knock fully.Oh,and this was with 93 octane.Raising the F/P crossed my mind but looking what the BLM's are it seems rich already. What do you guys think?I'm stumped... Thanks--

Alan

Damn I forgot to add what the car has. It's got a te-60,36lbers,Holley fuel pump,Dynotech chip,a volt booster and a power plate.Other than that everything is stock. Thanks again...

You are probably going to need to make another run because at 3.89 the throttle blade was pobably not at WOT.

I dont know anything about a Dynotech chip, but if it is older it probably has a lot of timing ala ATR pitbull. I bet if you throw a Thrasher 92 in there you will be able to run 17psi with no knock no problem

Hey,thanks for the advice. You're right about the 3.89 TPS @wot.Must have been the floormat.I will post back once I make another run.As for the chip,it's an old one and definitely due for for a swap.Thanks........:)

That and the fact the Dynotech chip is probably running too high a timing curve by today's standards.

If you had a chip with 19 or so degrees of WOT timing, you'd probably see your knock go to zero up to 17# of boost with 93 octane.

At least I do anyway. Our gas here is only 93, but it's a good 93, not oxygenated or anything yet.
