heres what the guy has...130k was an 1 owner old ladies car who always had it serviced at the dealership. some checking of paint, few door dings, headliner sagging otherwise int is pretty nice. scaling under doors, small rust at back of rockers and a very little in quarters, good floors and trunk. air doesnt blow cold. he has new emblem set for it, new 3" downpipe, chrome maf and k&n, new rear spoiler and new hoodliner. i think the tires were new last year.
he had the heads milled and a friend who is a "buick guy" rebuild the motor--I guess this guy had done other 3.8s. well, it has 4 miles and it has a "knock" I dont know why he didnt have the guy who built it take care of it, but now it is for sale. he is asking 3750. Is that a decent deal? What am I looking at to have the bottom end done possibly $ wise? Or would it be better to take it to specialty shop and have the motor & trans built? I would like to end up with a high 11 low 12 combo. what kind of investment would I have to make. I figure he will come down some on the car.
