I currently have a 3" test pipe installed where the catalytic converter is. It is flanged on one side, slip-fit on the other side and is 13" long.

Is there a catalytic converter that short which I can use? It does not look like I can cut the downpipe and make it shorter since it bends up just after the cat.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Good question. I don't know.
Here is a pic and if someones who makes it, that would be great too. It looks rusty as hell, so I may look into replacing or painting.

Thanks

My guess would be either home made or early Kenne Bell

The reason i ask is that i have a cat that was on a THDP that measures 14 1/2 inches, i sold the down pipe and kept the cat thinkng it would work with a mease down pipe, but the lenghts were different and i ended up buying a cat from Keith.

This is what you need a random tech extreme hi flow cat, will be short enough to work, and out flow anyother aftermarket cat., and are designed for hi heat.

random tech #703000 series "Metallic" Converter - 3" Inlet/Outlet

Thanks for the input, I'll check it out.
Will they pass visual inspection? They don't look like typical cats.

Roger:

Just bring the paperwork that comes with them (provided it says theyre EPA approved and 50 state legal etc)... and you'll be fine
