I am going to be upgrading my fuel system. The feed will be -8AN. I am welding a steel male -8AN fitting to the fuel rail.
For the return I am going to use the original 3/8" feed line. I want to attach a -6AN line to the spot where the stock feed line for the engine attaches at the front frame rail. For those of you that are familiar, the main feed line comes through a small hole in the front frame and the has a rubber hose crimped on with a female Saginaw style oring fitting at the end. I need to find an adapter that will screw into this.
I also need to find the same style Saginaw oring fitting to screw into the bottom of the fuel pressure regulator.
I have one that I bought from Jack Cotton (I believe its an Accel) that was designed to screw into the inlet on the fuel rail, but it is a -8AN and the end that screws into the fuel rail is larger than the regulator threads.
Anyone know where I can get these?

Aeroquip makes:

FCM2608, -6AN male to M16x1.5 metric male saginaw (with oring)

FCM2609, -6AN male to M18x1.5 metric male saginaw

I just measured the fitting for the regulator. The original is 14mm diameter.

hmm,

Accel also makes some fuel line fittings, but their catalog is not as descriptive as Aeroquip regarding precise thread sizes.

Might want to call Aeroquip and Accel direct, see if they have specific products available.

I've butted heads with saginaw fittings before, they are a pain to find matching adapters for.

Those are russel fittings......one is 12 and the other is 14....it is located in the "special fittings" section.

Give me a call at the Livonia Ramchargers after 2pm tomorrow and i get you the part numbers.

Hey Doug! Long time no see.
Yeah, I finally figured out that the regulator takes a 14mm x 1.50 thread fitting.........power steering fittings to be precise.
I want to stick with a fitting like that rather than welding to the regulator as some have suggested incase I have to replace a regulator on the road somewhere.
I want to keep it easily serviceable.
But my combo is very similar to yours......exceptions being the TE45a, 55lb injectors and a 9X11 convertor.
I might actually get to run it this Sunday. Wish me luck

I was going to do the regulator but the bend looks way too tight. If anything you would have to cut a section of the stock line off and weld-braze or silver solder a fitting onto it. I bought a fitting to make a return hose but I don't think it is possible to put a fitting and hose directly into the bottom of the regulator.

Did you find fittings to go to the rail intlet? Or did you weld an AN fitting onto the rail itself? Ramchargers lists them but has none in stock. I used a saginaw fitting but it is only -6, and my line is -8, I have a setup of reducers to get it up to -8 but it looks kinda cheesy in my opinion.

For the fuel rail I have a Saginaw style fitting to -8AN adapter, but I am not going to use it as the inside diameter really necks down because of the oring tit on the side that screws into the rail. What I found were steel 1/2 NPT to -8AN steel fittings. I am going to tig weld one to the inlet on the fuel rail so I have unrestricted flow into the rail.I was outside last night working on the car and I see what you are talking about with the regulator.
I think the inside of most -6AN fittings is only 5/16" which is the same size as the return line. I would beg to say that 5/16" would be fine. The most restrictive section of the return line is back by the tank where it gets even smaller than 5/16"
