looking for an 86 87 short block. I figure before i rebuild mine i can see if i can help someone out with taking one off of their hands. looking at 2000 to 3000 dollars for a short block or a complete no problem low mile motor. thanks guys(and gals) Harry

I have a fresh shortblock with zero miles fresh from a rebuild. S&S Automotive in San Leandro, CA. Rick Santos did the machining and has raced NHRA, built many GN engines + Stage 1/2 stuff, and tons of other race motors. Their family has been operating a machine shop for over 40 years.

$2200 plus shipping firm:
'86-87 GN 109 block
JE .020" pistons/pins, Total Seal file fit rings
stock rods with polished beams/ARP bolts
GN crank, billet #2/#3 main caps, Clevitte 77 main/rod bearings, balanced/blueprinted. No camshaft or Tchain.
Includes oil pan and oil pickup tube with harmonic balancer/bolt
This engine can handle 700hp+ with proper tune.

gnx7@hotmail.com for pics

I'm into LS1's now and not interested in keeping this motor. My loss your gain.

Thanks,

Mark

i ve got a rebuilt stock 87 motor with less than 800 breakin miles on it-ran great.flywheel to balancer-oil pan to throttlebody(fuel rail, injectors,egr,etc)- $2000. plus shipping.

thanks for the replies guys. What do you think shipping would be from Cal. and NYC. Both of these sound like good deals to me i am just trying to iron out what i want to do. Any pictures of the motors? Thanks again Harry

I have a 46k complete engine(engine harness, accessorys, turbo, intercooler, everything) $2400+shipping also have a long block with 69k for $1500+shipping. I also get a 50% discount with Yellow Freight on shipping. If interested e mail me at Fortune628@aol.com

If you ship it to a dock near you its alot less in charges and willing to pick up.

i am thinking of going with ups or fedex. they have lots of pickup points around Littlerock. the shipping is probably going to be expensive but hey its a small price to pay for something i want. Still open right now nothing final.

Lol, I sell alot of parts, Fed Ex is still very expensive on high weights. They are expensive on low weight computer parts. And by the way I "PAY" to advertise here. I'm curious if you "pay" to be here 49-blues?? Definetly would like to know!!! Maybe time to start supporting your favorite web site! And where you make a profit. If you do I appoligise, but I was told otherwise. And all your undercuts brought you to my attension. Along with
GNX7, if I pay both of you should also, in my opion.

Intercooled88- you seem to have a beef with me that I'm unaware of.

Every beef revolves around me trying to sell this shortblock. The fact that I built this shortblock by purchasing parts from this website and advertising vendors... went in a different direction (LS1).... certainly doesn't mean that I should pay for advertising to try to sell it here to someone that can use it.

You sell tons of parts on here. I do not.

you can email me at gnx7@hotmail.com if you want to talk about this offline.

Dragon- pics are en route tonight thx

Also ForwardAir is a freight forwarding company. Check on their website for locations. The cost to ship this shortblock to one of their terminals is around $100-150.

I never seem to have any problems when i buy multiple amounts of parts off this or its vendors also- i must have over $50k in cars and parts that i bought off of here, but some people think that everyonelse should only buy parts from them, i have alot of extra parts that i bought here and try to help out fellow members that need them all at a considerable financial loss to me.

49-blues

So the one question is "Do you contribute???" In other words are you a "NoN Paying SELLER"?? Do I get a buying credit???? LOLLLLL, Ive bought tons over the last few years. Don't get your excuse. Why should I pay for you? Maybe time to stop making excuses, by the way this was brought to my attention by one of the biggest vendors on this web site. Who has by the way been here a long time. And if it seems personal I do appoligize its not meant that way.

Intercooled88s.... They aren't undercutting your prices....your prices are just too high to start out with. Cut your prices and then you won't have anything to bitch about. I highly doubt your contribution to this site comes anywhere near to adding up to the rates you charge for your parts.

I second that! Fair prices are not undercutting. FYI- i ve been on here 5 times as long as you have been what a whole year?

My question is this are either of you a vendors? If not why not, you are selling so much parts and what makes you feel above us vendors??? I pay to be here "Do You" ? If not then maybe you should start contributing on your own. I've forwarded this to several vendors we will see how others feel about you free loaders! By the way I'm handicapped, I pay to sell here ,and not a free loader!!!!

I didnt think I would hear a word after money was involved, just pay to be here and help the web site. "You make money you Pay money." Its for everyone.

I haven't been a member of this board for very long and I'm not trying to steal someone's post but I think you are a little out of line Bob (Intercooled88s) I've noticed a few other post that you and another vendor have done the same thing to. You complain because you think that an enthusiast with a few parts to sell should be a supporting vendor because he can sell things to other enthusiasts at a cheaper price than you. The whole point of these boards are for enthusiasts to get together and buy, sell, trade, whatever. Why should myself and others have to endure this from you if we just have a few parts laying around our garage that we want to get rid of?

dproberts05

Do a search under the people mentioned , and see how much they have sold, They are as much vendors as myself. I was told after less then 200 total posts that I should become a paying vendor. Which I'm glad I've done. Its not how many new posts you you have but how much you sell! The point is they sell here regularly and don't feel they should pay ever. Do they think only New people pay to sell here only? Why?

Waaayyy Too Much Drama going on here.

I have a shortblock and assorted parts also, but I think I'll not offer them here. PM/email me if you want more info.

This is supposed to be a community of enthusiasts with a common love- our cars. Never thought I'd see this kind of petty bickering around here.

Intercooled- you've been asked to contribute by the powers that run this board. Let it go at that. If the powers that be want to make the same requests of others, then let them- your whining sounds like the 10 year old who got caught with your hand in the cookie jar, and you have to point out what everybody else is doing.

Let it go, man- support the community, instead of dividing it.

I searched for 49-blues in the parts for sale forum and found two posts where he was interested in buying from others. I searched the parts wanted forum and found one post where he was looking, one where he referred other members, and maybe two where he offered parts for sale. That hardly seems worth having to be a vendor to me.
