some info that might be of some help to your freind

i know some people feel they need the latest version of some things but your friend wont need a 6.25 version (the latest) unless he happens to have one of fullthrottles 4" integrated maf pipes , and you cant get one of those pipes new so if plans were to get one he'll have to find a used one. besides being able to run the maf pipe the 6.25 wont do any better than the 6.22 or earlier translators .

all versions will do the 3" and 3.5 " mafs

if his plans are to run a zo6 4" (85mm) maf all older versions down to the 5.x versions will do the job , the 4.x would need an upgrade for 85mm
and all versions need an adapter to run the zo6 maf

and if you feel you have to have the latest versionolder versions will usually be cheaper and the upgrade chip to a 6.25 is only $30 from full throttle

to add the LT1 version translators will work just as well but need an adapter to the stock maf harness connector

X2, I did just what Paul said, I bought a LT1 translator version 5, I then called Mike at full throttle and told him what I had and he sold me a chip for it which upgraded the translator to a version 6.22. I then needed the Buick adapter harness for the translator to plug into the stock maf wiring.
