I'm in the process of replacing my drivers side exh. manifold and the nuts are frozen on the studs, and the studs came out of the head. So I want to replace the 15 yr old ones with new. Anyone know where to get them?

I found a couple references to Exhaust manifold studs on the GnTType search. One referencing a 600-1813 Napa equivalent kit and another post by Kenny Brown talked about a kit by Totally Stainless. The 600-1813 kit wasn't on NapaOnline, and just ordered a catalog from Totally Stainless.

Thanks

I think the nuts are supposed to be "flozen" on the studs. Think of them a bolts with extra threads attached.

The parts catalog lists them a "hex" studs.

DUH!!! Guess I'll reuse them then.

That's what I get for not looking at them closely in a garage with bad lighting.

Thanks

David

The factory studs and bolts have locking washers on them. They usually rust together. If you can, get new ones from GM, otherwise they might back out.
