Trying to figure out where would be the best place to place my purge valve and the others....Need really good photos....

Not trying to knock your idea but nitrous is old school. I urge you to check out the methanol kits. You will get more bang for your buck and it is proven a hundred times over. Just turn up the boost and start spraying methanol. The people that I have seen hook up nitrous kits do not get the results of the methanol kits.

Check out Alkycontrol.

Onl problem is that I been had this kit still new for over a year and a half so it will go to waste if I didn't use it...

What kit do you have?

Most people who put down the nitrous route have not used it. I have used it for years and it works great. I taken a stock gn into the 11's with just a nitrous kit. Stock turbo, stock intercooler, stock long block, stock converter.

What is it that you need to know?

I have a 6 foggers in the dog house but most kits had a single fogger in the up pipe. Real simple setup. Fuel line connected to the fuel rail, run your nitrous line to the trunk. The Nos kit had the soleniods mount on a tab that was welded to the up pipe.

Buick_noob,

Your first question was where to place the purge valve. I would place it as close to the soleniod as possible and then when you purge, I'd route the hose on the purge across the intercooler instead of out the hood,to cool off the intercooler.

Using Nitrous on these cars is like removing the bolts from the engine without a wrench!

Nice I was thinking the same.

Why would you say that? OH, maybe you meant like using a socket and ratchet, it faster. :p

Only thing I can think is that if you did not understand how to tune your car and just added nitrous on a poorly tuned car you would probably blow a head gasket. But just like any preformance adder (bigger turbo, intercooler, injectors) without a good tune she'll go south too.

I was thinking the same thing. It's funny how people learn how to tune with certain power adders but are afraid to learn how to tune with nitrous on the Turbo Regals. Just like with any other power adder...it must be added in gradual increments instead of all at once.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I checked out your site. First thought that comes to mind is WOW. I like your injector setup! I have a ZL1 Ramjet in my 65 vette and will be running a direct port fogger setup. I have a secondary fuel system for the nitrous that will add race gas when on the nitrous to the foggers but I still have the pump gas on the injectors. I was thinking of adding a valve for the injector fuel rail to switch the injectors to the race gas once the nitrous is activated. I wondered about how much fuel would mix when switching back and forth but having a complete second system would keep it from mixing. Again nice work.

turbo = good power .... n2o = good power .... turbo + n20 = lots of power :smile: :smile:

When you boost an engine, then run nitrous, the nitrous will increase hp more that the manufactures claimed hp... ie: 50 hp shot jets will yield about 70hp @ 20 psi boost. This is due to the n20 being boosted and the intercooling effect as well, n2o is about -148 degrees F.

If not scared, it is a way for more hp, and for the temp power it is the most cost effective.

I am wondering what you mean by the nitrous is being boosted? I think the difference in what you get from what they claim are from the cooling effect only.

Never heard nitrous being boosted, if it was injected before the turbo maybe but not after the turbo. Maybe there is something I am missing?
