I just noticed that with the engine running i have 45psi on Fuel guage. Once i shut down the engine the guage just drops with-in seconds...

Does this have anything to do with having an external inline fuel booster pump?

Thanks
Chris

Please Anyone???

Car has BlueTops and a Kenne-Bell Blue Billet Regulator. I think its the KB???

I read that it should hold pressure for at leat 30-40 min>?????

I was always told that if the fuel rail leaks down, and doesn't hold pressure, then the injectors are bad...

So if i do a key on engine off a few time to build pressure then pull the plugs they should be wet???

Or could this be a fuel pressure regulator problem?

Thanks
Chris

Are you saying your pressure drops to zero immediately when you turn the engine off? I assumed you meant it dropped slowly over several minutes. Does your fuel pressure stay constant at idle and increase with boost?

Two places fuel goes. Back to the tank, into the motor.

Having the external throws the monkey wrench into the scenario.

If it drops fast.. then you go and fire the car does it puff a lot more black smoke. If so its bleeding in to the motor.

Since it runs at 45, chances are the regulator is OK.

If the car runs normally when it fires up.. I wouldnt worry bout it.

Again the external is the ?

Hi Razor,

There is no smoke at startup and the car runs fine. I have the fuel pressure set at 42 w/vac off. At full boost i get around 60psi. O2's are in the 800's+...
I guess im good...
