I was replacing my inlet bell (87 GN) and the nut popped off and apparently landed in some bottomless pit. I looked for about and hour and couldn't find it. Does anyone know what size it is off the top of their head?

take one from your intake, possibly the one holding your throttle bracket to the intake and measure it up at the hardware store...

Lol, i think they are the same thread as the ones holding the bumper to the shock struts and the same as the ones holding the bumper skin to the impact bar...

It's an M8x1.25. Probably the most common nut on our cars. Used all over, including the bumpers.

lost nut

did you check on the pass side intercooler bracket? thats where mine was at, along with a mysterious bolt  .

Yeah, but I didn't see it and I used a probe that has a magnet on it and ran it under there. I'm going to check again tomorrow. I was thinking of removing the intercooler again (I just put it back in), but I'm weighing that vs. the time it would take to run over to Pep-Boys! ha ha
