The other day my wastegate rod popped off when I let off the throttle too fast and then also the adjustable clip to it and the nut came off...they are not to be found because they came off while driving. Does anyone have a solution for this? I don't want to go out and buy a whole new wastegate actuator setup again! All I need is that adjustable clip!

Wow these cars sure are DOGS without a turbo!!! I think a stock Honda Civic could hand me my ass right now! HELP!

Go to auto zone and look in the help section they have them in a 4 pack here for 3$ so if they have them nappa and the rest should too.

? AUTOZONE has these???

lol man I am gonna take a trip over there tomorrow morning then! thanks!

I use a roach clip on my car.

I had it left over from the 1970's. :)

It really works well.

what came off exactly???

Don, do you mean the C clip fell off or the threaded metal rod with the loop at the end?

You say the nut came off too and that makes me think the metal end of the rod that slips over the puck arm fell off.

If it is the C clip...don't bother replaceing that ...get an alilgator clip.

If the threaded piece came off....hmm.......I have no idea where to get that...

Aren't I helpful???

All it takes is an alligator/roach clip to hold these things on? Why am I still pissing with the stupid c-clip?

Small clip, about an inch long with sorta fine teeth works great!

Put a short piece of wire on it and tie it to the oil cooler line, that way nobody takes it out for a smoke. ;)

Or, as has been mentioned here before and I have since done it on my cars: the same clips that hold the linkages to the throttle body work great!

Maybe you guys are misunderstanding me

I did have a roach clip that someone gave me and I lost that too...so thus the wastegate rod popped off and the threaded end of the rod (with the hole clip) and the nut both came off too because they were loose...so now i have half a wastegate rod and cannot adjust boost at all! i need the other half of the wastegate rod...now does autozone have this like mentioned earlier???

nope...autozone doesnt carry the part your looking for... they have the e-clips that hold the threaded rod end that turns (which you lost) to the puck actuator... just call one of the vendors..im sure they can sell just the end part

I would email both Brian Weavy and Mike McCoy to see if they have an endpiece from and adjustable wastegate actuator that has a busted diaphragm.

Should be a safe part to buy used and cheaper than a whole new actuator.

I would verify the threads on it first before buying however.

Alligator clips from Radio Shack, about $3 for about a dozen. Get the ones that are about 2" long.

LISTEN PEOPLE!! hes not looking for the freaking clip he's looking for the end piece of an adjustable waste gate!!!! everybody knows you can get stupid alligator clips and e-clips from autozone, pepboys, sears or whatever friggin local autoparts store you can think of...jeez

I have an extra wastegate arm end and nut. Don't know if the thread is the same on all adjustable wastegates. Think I got this one years ago from ATR. If you want it, email me privately with an address to send it to (nut and arm end). It'll just take a couple of days for US Postal service to get it to ya.

I lost mine one time too.I found out you can go ACE Hardware and have your choice of things that will work. They have alligator clips, and other assorted clips in there nuts & bolts aisle similar to what came original.I paid 10 or 12 CENTS for the style I got whick kinda looks like a bobby pin. Give ACE a shot if you haven't found something by now.
