I just got done swapping my 009 injectors for 30# and now I have terrible smoking (white) at idle. It is also idling pretty rough but it is running better at higher rpm's. I can see the oil being forced out of the drivers side breather and up into the turbo.

Did you change chips too?

How can you see the oil going to the turbo from the dr side breather:confused:

Yes the chip was also changed, the car actually runs better as I get higher in rpm's. The oil is coming out of the breather AND getting forced around the flanges of the turbo.

Ok, I have a similar problem right now. I have a PT54 with precision housing AR .63 It could be the turbo. It only does it at idle and even that is very inconsistant.

Re-Check your IAC counts and TPS...the injectors/chip change could've wacked them out of spec.

This problem is very consistant, it smokes at idle every time. My TPS is fine but what are IAC supposed to be? I just got 36 at idle.

10-50 is the range at idle (operating temp) but make sure they go up when you put it in gear.

smoking everytime at idle? And it goes away at what speed or RPM?

Try these things:

Inspect PCV valve for proper function. Remove, should be able to blow thru one side and not the other. While you have it out put a new one in it only costs a couple of bucks. It that is fine read on...

Remove downpipe/elbow (so you can see the exh wheel. ) Inspect for wet oil. If there is oil you have a leaky turbo seal on the exh side. If not read on...

Start the carInspect for oil misting out of the exhaust side.

Repost after you've tried this and we'll try something else! :D

PVC is allowing me to blow through both ways. I'm going to the store to buy another will let you know when I get back. BTW thank you very much for all you're help so far.

That didn't help at all. I also noticed that my vacuum on my boost gauge is reading low. I'm only getting about 10-12 and park and 0-8 on gear.

Ok, I would run down the vacuum leak first. Check all the hoses around the injector area since you were just in there replacing them.

What turbo do you have? How old is it? Has it ever been rebuilt?

I just got my ta-60 back from a friend in town and am going to try that. I was using a used stocker with unknown miles. I think I also have a leaking injector. I haven't had time to look into the vacuum leak but I am going to swap in a set of known good injectors. I gues I'm going to be busy for a while.:(

Ahh, it's fun isn't it? I changed fuel regulators about 7 times over the weekend, installed new injectors, chip. Replaced battery cable, checked ALL the sensors. fun fun fun !

Well just changed the turbo and it's not that. The fun continues! Commecing with the changing of the injectors.

The guy I bought the car from put them in planning on racing the car, they are just too much for the combo, and created a bad stumble and knock. Also I just found a pinched wire in the injector harness, fixed and in the process of putting it back together.

Don't have the car back together yet. BTW where in Ohio are you? I'm originally from the Cleveland area.

The pinched injector harness seemed to clear everything up, strange. I will post again after I get everything buttoned back up, I need new turbo to downpipe bolts.

Car is fixed, the pinched harness was the problem the whole time. No more stubble and the turbo spools a lot faster now. 2 QK 4 U you're problem could be an intermintent injector, the raw fuel going through the exhaust side of the turbo looked like burnt oil and smoked white. Good luck.
