I'm finally getting the breathing room financially to do some cool stuff to my car so please bear with me for I have alot of questions.

ok, so my first accessory other than what's going in the block is going to be a new fuel pump. I've heard alot of people on this board talk about walbro 304/340 pumps. whats the difference between the two and when I get either of them will I need to upgrade my injectors as well?

if I should have to upgrade injectors what # injectors do I need to go with?

I plan on running no more than 18lbs of boost.
I'll have a 206/214 cam
a working adjustable wastegate(hopefully I can find whats wrong)
and my spearco f/m kit.

I definately plan on getting a T-Link now that I have access to a laptop. If the T-links work much better with the 86/87 ECM then how do I get a conversion kit and how hard is it to do?

now, lets say the ECM conversion is done. To compensate for the new cam/ext. wastegate/fuel pump/injectors....will I need a chip for my car too?

I'm sorry if some of you guys have heard these questions before, I'm just trying to put together a nice, reliable mid-13 second to start with.

I plan on driving my car within a months time and doing these small but effective mods during the course of the summer.

If anyone thinks I'm biting off more than I can chew right now then please feel free to say so.
I want to do this right.....my car has not been right since I've owned it.

there is a small difference between the two pumps, with the 340 being a little better.for the price difference there is no reason not to get the 340.you will also want to install a hotwire kit and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.as far as the injectors go you shouldn't have to upgrade from stock to go high 12's low 13's.if you do decide to upgrade 36# or 42.5# work well and leave you plenty of room to grow if you want to.

i can run 18-19 psi with my spearco on pump gas so you should be able to as well.

i highly recommend t-link and the 87 ecm conversion.it's a no-brainer,you'll spend more time wandering around the junkyard looking at stuff than you willinstalling it:D.

you will have to get a new chip burned either way,the stock 84 chip won't work in the 87 ecm.

i ran easy mid 13's in true street trim with a similar combination.you should be able to do the same.then you can add alky and crank it up all the time:D.

for summer driving i recommend upgrading your radiator and adding an electric fan.the 87 ecm can control the fan too.i have a modine radiator for a v8 regal w/ac and dual spal fans(you could probably get away with the ramchargers dual)and my car runs nice and cool(160-170).a good aftermarket stacked plate tranny cooler is a must also.

hope this helps.

For any chips you purchase, Red armstrong is who I'd recommend he does Lee Thompson's chips and chips for me. That's with the 87 ecm conversion and my motor set up.
