Guy's,

As most of you know Lou is truly the west coast O.G. (original guru) when it comes to Turbo Buicks. I've had the pleasure of knowing his grumpy ass for something north of 20 years. A funny thing happened to me the other day at my new job. One of my co-workers heard I was into Buick GN's and brought in some old articles from Car Craft magazine dated March 1993. One of the cars featured belonged to none other than our beloved Lou. I scanned them in and they are a bit grainy but I wanted to share them with you all.

Thanks Niel, You have brought a lot to this also. I always considered your technical abilities back then a little ahead of the times . You went a long way with what little money you had.I remember well struggling to learn the black art of trying to race a Buick back then & were interesting time where we seemed to learn something new daily & how exciting that was. How I do miss those days & the challenges.

OMG, 9.22 @ 148.99 in 1993!!!! With a 6-banger!
Truly a Guru.
Hay, I have garage space I'll rent ya, heck I'll give it to you.

Later in the year after that article was written I replaced the Restrictive intercooler that was made out of two stock cores & 2" tubing to a more efficient one designed for me by Spearco with 3" tubing the car immediately ran an 8.81 at Carsbad leaned out hurting the head gaskets fixed the damage & the following week at a Bakersfield race, I by chance decided to raise the fuel pressure beyond what I had been doing & the car ran a 8.63 at 158.90 the fastest Buick in the country at the time one of my proudest moments. After that I went from 80 # to 120# injectors & a lot of my head gasket problems that I was fighting improved. These lessons & many others had to be learned the hard way because I was on my own with not much support going as far as my money & ability could take me at the time.

My son Ralph was conceived after a night of drunken debauchery involving some sheep ! :wacky:

Pretty funny, though not much for poor Ralph, lol .

Letting a GN go is like selling a favored son, Ralph for instance.
I was referring to our need for experts like you, when time comes you Do retire (all the other wizards will be long gone by then!) how the hell we gonna fix these cars? So, instead of being frustrated I'd sell mine to you.
BTW, I thought you'r a working man, U have way too many toys & apparently too much time.
