Been working on get my TTA to run on newly installed Razor Kit. Before the install i had to run race gas to keep my car from registering knock. Even on 91 with TT chip tuned for the 91. For the most part the car runs fine other than the knock registering and low blms (110 at idle).

Since the kit install, the car does not register any knock (except for slight transitional which goes away) on the same setup. The only thing is, the low blms.

Currently i'm pretty much running a stock setup (stock boost, turbo, 91 octane chip, new 30lb injectors, test pipe with 3"Magnaflow catback, adjustable FPR). Before turning up the boost i'm wondering if i should try and figure out the low blm issue.

The car is runing ok at stock boost levels.

I've searched and there is a lot of info on high blms, but little on low. I understand that low means its running rich but not sure what would cause that. I've tried decreasing the fuel pressure but it does not bring it up.

What chip exactly, and is it made for the 30lb injectors (not stock injectors).

What is your AF (airflow) reading at idle in park warmed up?

Low BLM's are typically three things. Fuel pressure too high, bad MAF, or injector problem.

Fuel pressure.. get an accurate guage and measure it.

MAF.. swap it out with a known good one.

Injectors.. two ways. First since you have a FP gauge leave it on the rail and shut the car off. Should hold pressure, if it doesnt and it bleeds down.. then you may have a bad injector. Another way is to pull the spark plugs and see which one shows an abnormaility. I sometimes can get a automotive stethescope and listen to the injectors "ticking".. one will sound bad. That may be another way.

And I assummed you had a matching injector/chip combo

I need to go back and look to see when i got the injectors. Not sure if i put them in after or before i bought the chip a few years ago. The chip i got about 4 years ago but i think i mentioned that i would be replacing the stock ones with new 30lbs injectors. Need to dig through some old emails.

AFR's are around 700 using scanmaster.

If the chip doesnt match the injectors.. you have your answer.

I'll just go ahead and order another one Eric. Anyways, i can get it burned for the alchy chip since i'm running a street chip. What kind of boost can i get with the 30lb injectors?

Do you need the part number for the injectors? I got them from Johns Performance about 4yrs ago.

I understand you wanting to use the injectors so you don't have to purchase another set, but if your getting into adding alky your going to become addicted to the higher boost and that will likely lead to a need for more speed..... As a suggestion if you are going to order a new chip from Eric get the 60lb injectors chip combo and don't look back. This way if you upgrade turbos etc your covered. Besides the injectors are 4 years old and could probably use a cleaning so why spend the money on 30lbers?? Just my 2 cents!!!

I agree 100%

I agree 100%

I'd like to do that but money is kind of tight right now. Don't think i'll be upgrading the turbo for another year.

Came close to buying a TA61 when i had the aclhy installed but had to use self control.

The way your car sits right now, you don't have enough fuel to support a TA61. The best thing to do would be to upgrade your fuel pump and install a fuel pump hotwire kit, then get the 60# injectors and the chip from TurboTweak. You can run these mods without upgrading the turbo for a while until you get more money saved up to get the turbo. I wouldn't recommend doing it the other way around (turbo first) though. Keep in mind when you go for the bigger turbo you'll also have to go to a higher stall torque convertor to spool it properly.

I was going to get the 60lb inj with the turbo also. Thats the problem. Thats about 1 grand right there compared to 80$ right now to upgrade the chip.

Fuel pump and hotwire kit have already been installed.
