Low Compression numbers?

i think that the cam is retarded some. What type of timing chain does it have? i know the edelbrock double roller set-up are way off.

Can you explain how and why the edelbrock double roller set is way off,
because I have that set.

engine should be at operating temp when you test the compression. yes, those numbers are low even after the rebuild 110 seems low. i have 92000 miles on my car and they are right around 140.

According to the GM service manual this test should be done with a cold motor, 4-5 (max) compression puffs, spark plugs out, battery at full charge and at WOT.

Thanks guys. The cam issue makes sense to me. I know my rings are not worn after only 1,500 miles.
I think we put this one to rest.
Thanks again.
Now if I can make the car run properly as referenced my other thread that would be great.

If you greased the crap put of the cylinders when the motor is built i would say your rings are glazed and not sealing.......... can happen in less than 1000 miles...... but not what happened to you...... just a statement.
