Lower windshield trim

I know this is not the exact place for this post, but I can't get the coating of it. It is peeling so I wanted to repaint it. I tried aircraft stripper but it doesn't seem to work. Any thoughts.

glass bead blast it & then have it powder coated?

Went to Wally World and bought a roll of the carbon fiber covering. Did other stuff too
