Lowering car for drag racing?

I would like to lower my instant center to see if the car leaves harder. Do most of you faster guys (1.5 60' or faster) have stock ride hight, or lower? If so what are your experiences and how much lower did you go? Did you use stock springs and cut them, or did you use a different spring? Thanks.

I lower the car untill the rear lower control arm is level with the ground. With hotchkis springs, 50/50 shocks and boxed control arms with poly bushings i have been low 1.40 high 1.30 60's on a 10" tire
