LS1 Mass Air Meter

I have 2 dumb questions on the LS1 Mass Air Meters.....

1. Does the LS1 meter work with the standard MAF Translator?
2. Does the LS1 meter have screens? The one I got out of the bone yard does not....

The LS1 plugs into the Translator and comes new with a screen in it.

Are there good gains in performance or drivability by switching to the ls1 maf over the stocker?
