Just got an 84 T-Type basket case. The car came with a new Lunati cam with .456-.440 lift and 210-205 duration @ .050 lift. This is my first turbo car, so I dont know squat about them. How will this cam work on a street car? What would I need to upgrade to go along with this cam. I have the springs and lifters also. Is it worth using? I see most guys like the Comp Cams line of products. I also got a set of ported big valve heads with the car. All opinions welcome please. I have to have the bottom end machined anyway, so if you guys can think of any upgrades shout them out. Thanks.

Nothing wrong with that cam, leave it alone and add the supporting mods to go with it.

Or he can sell it to me, lol j/k

Boostmaster is right, you need to at least do a DP and exhaust, methanol(if not going ic), probably some mild portwork on plenums and intake mani, and a walbro intake FP. $0.02

P.S. TT chip sorry, lol

That I do not know I would assume it would be just fine though. i am still running a stocker so I have not seen what works best(cam).

Would the stock turbo and injectors be OK with this cam?

if you are going to make any power in the future you're going to want to upgrade the injectors asap anyway... something in the 36lb range like bluetops (if you can still find them) are great... with a chip to match the thing will drive like stock and you'll have plenty of room to upgrade in the future.

garaged the t-type after all the ****ing oil return line popped ou while i was driving and spun a bearing...

tired of all the bad luck and stupid things that always happen with the car so i figured i'd just let it chill in the garage until i feel like fixing it and going all out.

dd'ing an 03 s2k right now, complete opposite powerband... haha
