Anyone that has 28 x 10.5 x 15 M/T slicks on a 10" rim can you please measure the tread width? All info states 10" tread width. Mine are 10.9-11.0" and I am thinking I may have accidentally got the "W" tires? Thanks in advance.

John

They do not say "W" on them but they measure at what the "W" tires are supposed to be on M/T's website, that is why I am asking if someone else would measure theirs. Mine measure 11" tread and 13" section width.

Thank you

im pretty sure the W tires are around 11.5-12" TREAD width....it's a big difference in the two. mine measue a little over 10" tread width on my m/t 28x10.5

A friend of mine also measured his and got just under 10 1/4". M/T's website states 10.0 for the 28 x 10.50's and 10.9 for the "W". Mine measure 10.9-11.0 and I have measured them several times. I would not really be concerned but I want to switch to drag radials and I want to get as wide as I can get & have them fit. The 325/50/15 radials state they have a 13.1" section width and that is what my tires measure, but if the measurements are not accurate then the radials could actually be 14-14 1/2" which will be too much. Maybe I should ask if anyone has a 325/50/15 M/T radial on a 10" rim if they could measure the section width. Thanks for all the responses.

John

I've got a 325 mounted, could get ya that measurement this week, might have a 28-10.5 mounted too:confused: . I can tell ya the 325's are such a tight fit I dont think they'll work(for me). I'll be trying a 295 next, as it should fit better.

Thanks, I appreciate that. If the section is really 13.1 they will work fine. I actually think my slicks may be mismarked since they are an inch wider than two others.

I'm switching to hoosier 325/50 drag radials....ill post up how they fit. They should be only be 0.5in wider than my slicks, which will be fine.

hi, i am new to this and wondering what street radial will work best on my 86gn ?it has some of the basic bolt ons. 245/60 or255/60-15s on centerline 7.5 rims, this is for the rear . thanks

sorry it took forever, didnt have a chance to swing by the shop.

325 on a 10" wheel- right at 13.25" sidewall to sidewall and from my best look it appears 11.5" tread width

28-10.5 slick on a 10" wheel- I got 13" sidewall to sidewall around 10.75" tread
