Made it to 11's

Well, I finally made it to the 11's. It sure feels great. I was starting to think I would never leave with any decent boost whilst concentrating on that dam tree.

I gave up on the tree all together....4 sec reaction time...LOL

pulled a 1.63 - 60ft

a 7.43 - 1/8

and a 11.77 1/4 @ 112.47 mph

I think I left at around 6 lbs

my boost was set at 23 to 24 lbs

Tried again at around a 8 lbs launch. spun a little and got an 11.83

This may be my limit on these tires/track.

Anyhow...It felt GREAT!!!!!!!

72mm throttle body
RJC mega intercooler
60 mm percision turbo
aluminum radiator/twin fan
Soft brake shoes that hold..power master...line lock
Razors alky-using meth
3600 stall
MT 26" x 10.5 DOT street drags

Dont really know what cam or if heads are match ported to intake...I am a bit new to the GN world and have'nt dug into the block yet...Thats next.

Congrats on getting into the 11s.
You could probably pick up with a tighter converter
and a taller tire if you were interested.
Which Precision 60 do you have?

Ok,

I move up to a pair of 28 x 10.5 drag MT on a 10" rim w/4.5 backspacing.

I was concerned about frame clearance only 1/4" so I put a 1/2 spacer and longer wheel studs.

Then I was concerned with the fender lip cutting into the tire.

I ended up taking the spacer out for track time. I think I will box the frame and trim the lip????

Anyhow,

I ran an 11.57 last night with an impressive 1.57 sixty foot.

113.77 top speed.

This was with 25psi-leaving at around 10psi.
I took some fuel out of first and added a little timing on third and fourth.
Saw no knock.

It's all fun and games untill someone blows a head gasket...lol
