Maf change results

Installed a 4" maf pipe with 3 1/2" LS-2 maf and all works well idles better than ever and accelerates good.
My question is the car seems to have lost some power all the way thru on a pull. Could I be too lean /too much air for stock w/ minor mods/ translator settings wrong or etc....?
No other things done at this time so the query is in this area. Any thoughts or advice appreciated!!
 
Could be. The only way to know is to mess with the 2nd knob and see what your car likes.

If you have an adjustable chip, did you adjust it to compensate for a faulty stock MAF and/or a a hole in the accordion pipe? If so, reset the computer and try again. Same thing if you altered the fuel pressure out of the norm before upgrading the MAF
 
No chip changes! Car came w/ Red's chip don't know if adjustable, 4" alum pipe with least bends poss., fuel press unchanged.
Should I look for any SM values or changes? Are there a range of adjustments in the translator and how can I see change results other than road test? Thanks for the input..............
 
Is the maf "AF" reading going to 255? Once air flow hits 255 the translator is out of play. At that it's all chip fuel. Nothing should change.
 
STUPID QUESTION??? At what point do we arrive at these accepted SM numbers? Is it full throttle, idle, pull in 3rd gear till?, or just an educated guess (believe me I am not educated in this area) Thanks for the input!!!

do you still have the same amount of total boost?maybe you have less boost because flow has improved?you might be able to turn it back up a bit? 1# seems like alot of power in my ride.
just a theoretical idea.
