Only saw 248 on WOT readings on 3 in sensor with translator.
I run on the base for 3.5 sensor as this gives me the best performance.
Is this why only 248 or is the sensor not flowing right?
All screens are in.
Car runs ok.

Thanks
ES

How much boost were you at with this reading?

Hmm, interesting. It should be getting pretty close to 255 at that boost level. The thing to check is, when you can get good enough gas to allow you to run higher boost (something approaching 20#), see how high it will then go.

Wonder if something is tied into the airtemp wires to adjust spark or monitor boost?

Steve, I am running boost sensing on TL.
Did I see posts awhile back about MEs running without MAF.
Was this on race cars or street cars.

The Boost sensing cable will slightly affect the MAF readings. Depending on what your injector DC cycle is, that may not even be a problem.

What do you plugs read like?.
Any indicated detonation on the plug readings or Knock count?.

There are generally some calibration points in the chip that nurse the fuel past what just the GM/Sec reading is.

Bruce plugs look tan, so I think I am OK.
Does Turbo Link show injector cycle? (just got TL)
No knock @ WOT in 3rd

Thanks

ES1 the maffless works good on any car from the feedback i have recieved.
I have it on both my cars and seems flawless except it is a little hard on plugs but gets good milage. 1 chip does it. There is not any send it back and forth a couple of times.

Bruce, I have had a couple guys say that their maf would read 255 but the boost thing dropped them into the 240's. Which really isn't a problem I wouldn't think.

ES1, did you notice the change after you installed it?
I wouldn't worry about it too much, however I do not recommend MaxE people to use it.

It does, and it isn't.

My TLink boost sensing hardware reduced my MAF numbers as well.

However, I have a bunch of 11.9x timeslips with max MAF readings in the high 240's.

The cold air package can also impact max MAF readings, again without adverse timeslip consequences.

It does, and might not is a much better answer.

Most all chips run the injectors static, so the difference in MAF readings would be mute, BUT for the none static chips, there COULD be a slight change. That's why I qualify my statements, without reading the chip he has it's hard to say with absolute certainty one way or another.
