maf trans plus questions

I have finished my install and the car idles real bad. is there any base settings I should try. it smells real rich and stumbles badly. it seems great when first cranked up it idles fine and no stumble but as soon as it warms up it all goes ot hell. it does do better when I swap back to stock maf and no translator, thanks
 
Not much can be done wrong with the wiring part, all plug-n-play, but double check all the dip switch setting to make sure they are set for your application. Also do you have a scan tool you can hook up and see what the MAF gps readings are, should be around 4-6, and what the BLMs are, there's a pod under the cover that control base idle fueling, maybe too rich or too lean, try playing with them in both directions and see if it gets better.
 
on a scan master the af at idle is 7 and the blms are still peged at 105.why wood the car idle better with the old stock maf? any thoughts on why it does better when it is cold. I had low blms and thought the maf was the problem . now that I have tried a trans and 3" maf where do I go from here.

injectors have been flowed and cleaned
fuel presure is right on and rises whe proper amount with boost
new plugs
coil pack and module were changed 500 miles ago
I went through all 3 of my chips and no change

MAF reading of 7 is a bit high unless you are idling above 800 rpms. Try adjusting the BASE fuel pod for idle fueling to lean it out and see if you can get the BLMs to move off of 105.

PWHITE. I HAVE THE SAME DEAL AS YOU. WHAT CHIP DO YOU HAVE? I HAVE THE TRANSLATOR+ lt1"3 sensor. i don;t have the exstender chip yet. the best i can get it to run is on setting 5. base idel. very frustraiting. frank.:confused:
 
I have tried all three of my chips and even tried the stock one and the car still will barely idle. I have tried to mess with the base fuel setting on the trans and it still does the same thing. when I rev it to 1200 and hold it there it acts good for about 5 seconds and then stumbles just as though it was at idle. why would the car do better cold and then when it warms up act s as though its loading up big time.
 
Could there be something wrong with my three Inch maf It a remanufactured 97 s10 4.3 from autozone
 
Why get rebuilt when you can get them brand new? That is the whole purpose of the translator. Take the cover off of the translator and make sure they are correct. The settings are on the inside of the cover.
 
The Trans+ will work with the 97 S-10 4.3 MAF?? I thought they only worked with the Impala LT1 and newer LS1 MAFs. That was all they worked with back when I got mine about 2 years ago I thought.

hi. got my exstender chip today. could someone tell me where on my e.c.m. im soupose to hook up the wire they gave me. it say. remove the locking" comb" from the top side of the large connector. and insert small terminal into cavity D11. as shown in fig. 1. well i don;t have any pics. anybody? thank you. frank.

The car idles great untill its warmed up then starts to idle real bad and my blm go from 128 to a peged 105. if i rev to 1000 rpms and hold it there the blms go to 115 and 10 sec. later it goes to bad idle again but only after its hot. what can cause this?
