Can you replace the main crank bearings while engine is in car? What is all involved with doing it?

Can you replace the main crank bearings while engine is in car? What is all involved with doing it?

I have done a few. I jack the motor up a little to give me a little extra clearance. Just pull the pan and remove the caps one at a time, roll the top bearing out and roll the new one in. Remember to remove the serpentine belt. It pulls up on the crank and can make the upper shell difficult to remove. Good time to replace the rear main seal.
