Not trying start anything and I'm not condoning Majorboosts actions in any way but............Why would anyone but a used fuel pump from anyone more or less a stranger and put it in such a powerful machine that needs fuel to live? Just a question? For just 75.00-100.00 (which you'll end up paying anyway) more you could've gotten a new one with a warrantee and that is the real lesson. Let the buyer beware and you get what you pay for are famous but true statements. How many good sending units themselves have you ever seen sold on this board for 50.00? Haven't you ever heard if it sounds too good to be true it probably is?

I'd have to disagree. I dont know how much you have been into these cars but new Walboro pumps are junk. I'd much rather buy a know good used Walboro than a new one. Do a little search on Walboro pumps. Only other real option would be a Reds, which until recently have been hard to get too. So if I was to look for another pump, I'd be trying to find a "known Good" Walboro 340. Oh wait, thats what Jesse bought!

Wrong Again

News Flash!!!!!! Every defective Walbro 340 that has been reported lately at one time was a "known Good Walbro 340" until it failed. So your statement is still not logical. Buy new on critical parts and get the warranty just in case of defects. Even at a junk yard the don't guaruntee a used part to be good. I'm done!!!

Jesse, No numbers on pump, not a one.

throw it in the trash and call it a day !! come on people !! what the hell are you thinking !!! your goin to "chance" an old pump thats been sitting for years ??

.....ahhh .. sorry just had a brain fart.. PUT it in your car.. when ya blow it up we will have another thread to laugh at

Yeah chad just throw that pump away. Then when you are out in bumf@ck, iowa on the powertour and toothless jones can't get a pump for you you'll say "damn I wish I would have thrown that good stock pump in the trunk in case my walbro pump takes a crap"

So a new Walbro is ALWAYS warrantied huh? Just like the one keith bought, put in a NEW tank with a NEW sender and took a crap in less than a few hundred miles and told him tough sh!t, buy a new one.

OK guys, I cheaped out and bought a used pump. Throw your stones at me. Make sure you do the same to the guys paying over 400 bucks for a used double pumper setup, used mafs, used injectors, used fprs, used motors, used transmissions, used COOLERS, and used brake parts.

Well, Mr. Newscaster, i'm glad you are some sort of a fuc*kin genious. Yes, thats right, many of the new Wlaboros have taken a dump within minuted of installing it. On the other hand, The Walboro in my car has been running great for 8 years now.

The point is, if you buy a "known good anything", it should show up in working order, not like it's been sitting outside in the dirt. If you'd like, I've got some crap out i the scrap pile, I'll sell it all to you for $500. None of it works.

I don't know what junkyards you deal with but the ones in my area guarantee the part and if by chance it DOESN'T work they make it right or give you your money back. THey also give you 30 days from the purchase date. But then again, the "parts for sale" section is really just one big junkyard. I hope you don't buy anything from there either.
