Mal 31

Recently purchased and 87 GN and just hooked up a Scanmaster 2.1. Receiving a MAL code of 31 indicating a BAD Wastegate Selenoid. Car seems to run fine. Does anyone know how I investigate further?

Get some 10 amp fuses ready..........
-check your top right fuse (ecm/sol) and see if it's blown. replace if it is and drive the car.
-if you get into boost above 10 psi, it may blow again.
-this could be either a bad wastegate solenoid, or possibly a bad tcc lockup solenoid in the tranny.
-replace fuse again and unplug the driver side 4 pin tranny plug.
-go for a rip.Boost above 10psi, if it doesn't code, you found your problem.
