I have a malfuntion code 34 coming up on my scanmaster and the car is bucking and jerking under a load but is not dying, its more like a loss of power. I am running a MAF and translater from Fullthrottle and wanted to know if there is anything else it could be other than the MAF sensor. I know the part is at least 6 years old. Looking for a bit of help. Thanks.

Typical causes code 34 include:

1) Faulty air ducting to or from MAF sensor
2) Faulty ECM-to-MAF connections
3) Poor routing of MAF harness (i.e. near coil packs)
4) Maladjusted TPS sensor
5) Defective MAF sensor
6) Defective ECM

where is your translator mounted? if it is under the hood, open it up and see if there is any corrosion on the board from rain, etc.

also check out your coil pack and ignition control module

I found a bad ground to my engine block after replacing head gaskets. I must have not got it back tight.
