manual rack

has anyone put a manual rack on their car? I'hve heard of people converting pinto or f-body racks to fit.

heh, but what does it consist of? I've saw a couple that people have used pinto racks or an f-body rack, and made it work, but how?

If your talking "manual BOX" one from an S-10 truck should work.
Or for some $$ Flaming River has a G-body kit.

nah, i want to eliminate the box, i was going to run the s-10 manual box, but would like to shed some more weight, I was not aware that flaming river made a g-body peice.

So has anyone here tried this FR1495 manual box kit on a GN? Would it work ok for a serious street/strip car?

i e-mailed flaming river, they dont make a kit for the g-bod

looked it up on the web page. Its a steering box, not rack and pinion.
