Map sensor

What is the difference between a 2 bar sensor and a 3 bar map sensor. Is there any tuning diff between them. What are you guys using on your HA's

2 bar max boost level reading is 14.5 (i think) 3 bar is 20 maybe bit higher. This part is really what boost level you will be running, tho 3 bar is always nice to have. Stock boost for Hotair is about 12psi around there, IC cars are 15lbs.

So since I have bigger turbo(ta33c), 87ECM, TT chip, 36lbers all the ussual upgrades, should I upgrade to 3 bar. Do the IC cars come factory with 3 bar? Car gets bout 15psi at WOT now with 2 bar sensor

No, they have 2bar also. I think the TTA had a 3bar not sure. Yes I would get the 3bar, no sense in getting sensor that max out at 14.5-15 lbs boost. When i'm sure you plan on atleast 18lbs or so. The three bar MAP is also required should you ever install a Razor Alky kit. They also read above 20 lbs boost. Mine has spiked the boost up to 23 lbs. Brad
