Nope, there are actually houses (well, "manufactured homes") RIGHT across the street already, and they have been there for many, many years.

It's a rural area, most lots around there are 2 - 10 acres each.

Not a single complaint in the article from a neighbor, and the only "official" to speak on the matter was a friggin' pencil pusher from the county planning department. I guess all the people who really have any clout in the decision making are too busy trying to get re-elected to their positions of extortion specialist and criminal kick back taker, errr, I mean County Supervisor, to be bothered with something as trivial as the Town of Wittman's biggest business and tax revenue generator being threatened with closure.
