Guys-
If you use the Mcmaster nozzles in your DIY setups and want to duplicate the SMC nozzle elbow-

You will need a 1/8"-"street elbow" and an 1/8" coupler. BUT- you need to drill out the inside of the male end of the elbow after you put on the coupler! If you don't you will destroy the rear of the nozzle when you try to tighten it, as there is not enough clearance inside the elbow for it to fit.

Thanks for the info, but I am a little confused. Do you have pictures???? Thanks

nozzle elbow

I'll try to explain it better-

Start with a 1/8" NPT coupler and street elbow.
Screw the coupler onto the male end of the elbow.
Now- if you try to screw the nozzle into the coupler end of the assembly, the rear part of the nozzle will hit the inside of the elbow part. So once you connect the coupler to the elbow run a drill into the coupler end and ream out the inside of the elbow end to make clearance for the nozzle.

Thanks steve I think that I understand and when I recieve my nozzle I will take a closer look at it. BTW, you are probably the best person to ask, do you know what the m15 nozzle is close to being equvilent to in a NOS jet???? Right now I am using an .040 jet and it seems to be working quite well.

Thanks for any advice

nozzle sizes

I believe the M10 is .031 and the M15 is .045.
