Hi all,
Finally installed my Mease downpipe today. Removed the stock elbow/downpipe/converter, installed Mease DP and test pipe.
The DP fit perfect. No need to "tweek" any metal or move brackets. I was real happy about that. The DP did come close to the heater box, but there's about an eighth inch of clearance there. I cut the turbo shield to allow the new DP to exit.
Took it out for a little test-run near my house. Low to mid power is much better. Couldn't really test top end power, as my boost actuator has to be turned out a few turns. Boost maxed out at 30psi!
Turns out the pin the rod sits on is at a angle compared to the stocker. I adjusted this already and will be ready for another test tomorrow on the way to work.
The pipe is nice, and the fit is very good. The poly motor mounts on my car may have helped this, though.
All in all, a good mod. All I have to do now is get my boost back in line and it'll be all good. Next up: PowerPlate.
Hope you guys can make the Anna Millers get-together on the 22nd.
Steve
