Has any one measured the factory rods bolts ?
I did some this weekend and did three loose and then torqued to 40lbs .
Length ranged from a short of 2.004 to a long of 2.010 loose and they stretched from .004 to .006 when tightened... .0045 to .005 would probably be a an average figure. This was with motor oil for lube btw...

I was using a micrometer ( Harbor Frieght, but fwiw checked on a 2.000 standard prior) The end of the factory bolts are cupped and not machined so it was tricky to get a good repeatable reading since the mic would not set in the cup bottom.
I feel I am pretty repeatable I worked at it.

I've never stretched a stock bolt. (yep, on all ARP's because they have the needed counterbore to fit the dial stretch gauge into) 45 ft.bs and they're good. (providing the torque wrench is calibrated of course.

What is the correct spec and lube ?
I found a nice chart with everything just about listed on the turbobuick board and it says 40 on Rods and 100 on mains but list no lube specification.
