MECUM-Spotted two TRs on the block

I was watching Mecum Kissimmee lastnight on TV and saw a 87 T that was dressed as a GN, had the GN wheels and the GN Interior in it sell for $16,400. Other one was also a 87 T that was burgundy, one owner, sell for $16,500. I was surprised the T dressed like a GN went for that much, it looked decent but not sure why anyone would try and convert one over to a GN, maybe to get more money? lol
