Try to avoid any high-vol pump if possible.

Blueprint your stock cover, use the regular gears, and make sure your clearances are correct- all there is to it!

I've had good luck with melling oil pumps. No reason to avoid a hv pump either. If you build the engine with that in mind it can be a great asset in building a more reliable engine. james
