Did anyone record it or anything? I was taking a final when it came on. Or is MTV gonna air it again sometime?

The bass player absolutely rocks. Listen to the ST stuff off join the army or How will I laugh. They were underated as a band.

Would have been nice to see some actual Metal bands in the tribute. I'm talking about Machine Head and bands of that ilk. I know it would have been lost on most of the band's current audience, but....

Having been a metalhead since '81, it's still kinda comical for me to see Metallica on MTV. Not that I don't understand it - hell man, they did a great job of marketing themselves and becoming a mainstay. I just remember the rantings of Lars back in the day and it's just so funny to see them on MTV doing that kind of show....

Did I miss it or was Dave Mustaine not interviewed at all?
I wonder if he is still bitter or if he is just depressed about
his injury?

I think they mentioned his name once.

I don't think he is bitter about it, he and Ellefson did some great work after he left Metallica.

Is he depressed about his injury? I know I am! :(

And 88CutlASS - you have no taste and should be banned for your comments. :D
i saw snoop twice, one large show and one small show and weather you like him or not he knows how to throw a concert. I just don't see the big thing about metallica. You act like its easy not liking something that everyone else think is great. Who cares about music anyway, i love g-bodys!!!!

i used to love metallica, but after the whole napster thing, i ahve lost a bit of the love, too much crying was involved for them to seem tough
grant

i used to love metallica, but after the whole Black:o , Load:rolleyes: ,Rehash (I mean Load), then they got a symphony to back em:confused:
Are these the same guys who rocked with Seek & Destroy?? Not.....

That's exactly what I say, too.

You can't listen to the last half of "One" and then listen to "Unforgiven" and say it was the same band. Yeah...I know things change and people expand themselves artistically, but we have come to expect "clean out your ears like q-tips from hell" music from then.

Although, I have read some reviews on the new album coming up and it is reported that the OLD Matallica is back. We'll see....

Like mentioned above...the saddest part was the lack of other Metal Mainstays. Where were these guys at? Rob Halford...the "new" Judas Priest...AC/DC...Lemmy...Motorhead...Ozzy is everywhere now...but, I didn't see him staggering around there....etc...etc...

Are we talking about the mtvICON thing? TiVO caught it for me today. Doesn't show it coming up anytime again soon. I haven't figured out how to hack the TiVO to pop a CD burner in it, but I can dump it to tape. Of course it would be illegal of me to distribute it....;)

EDIT: It's on MTV2 at 4:00 PM EST on Saturday 5/10.
