I just want to make sure about this..... ETHANOL is safe in high doses vs. gasoline in the tank compared to HIGH octane METHANOL?? I know a guy who was using 30% Methanol 70% gasoline in his dodge (gas engine) pickup without problem. Seems a high octane engine with high boost would require a high quality fuel to efficiently burn?

im just going off of what i have read about methanol. it is much more corrosive then ethanol. Both ethanol(E100 = 113 octane) and methanol(M100 = 115) are high octance and boosted engines tend to love them...just i have never really heard of people using methanol in the tank unless they are using a stainless tank, non-paper element fuel filter, stainless lines, etc.

i could be wrong,. i personally use a few gallons of E85 every once in a while in the tank:)

I have almost 100 gallons of METHANOL left over in 55 gallon drums I was using to make BioDiesel. Due to circumstances beyond my control that operation is suspended and wondered about using the Methanol in pure form as fuel for my mostly stock T-Type.

Put an alky kit on.. and hammer time :D

I don't have the funds for an Alky Kit, or interest and am only interested at this time in what % I can mix straight Methanol with unleaded gasoline to cut my fuel costs.

In short, my wife left me on a perceived "trip to the parents" with MY diesel pickup that I was making BioDiesel - hence the need for Methanol. At present I have a lot of Methanol on hand and no need (or truck to pickup used oil) to make B-100. I could use the Methanol as fuel in my only car left for me to drive...my T-Type which has now unfortunately turned into a daily driver.
